This piece is part of an ongoing series exploring brushwork methods. Brushstrokes are applied by hand attempting to replicate the motions of a mechanical process. The resulting imperfections and idiosyncrasies give rise to the captivating patterns and compositions seen throughout this collection.
 
As an exception within the series, the first piece remains untitled. If named, it would draw inspiration from the visual qualities of its composition, reminiscent of an underwater view as one swims toward the surface.
